The company sent us a few bottles of Neu Nootropic Boost to review.

I'm typically just a coffee drinker and I limit this to two coffees a day, so I decided to see how Neu would perform as a replacement for my second coffee usually consumed around noon.

Taste

Over my tenure at Caffeine Informer, I've tasted 100's of energy shots and none really win awards in the taste category.

Neu is no different. It's sweet, sour, and a tad bitter with a fruity flavor. But at just 60 ml, it's definitely drinkable and is one of the better shots I've tasted.

Function

I began to feel the effects of Neu within 10 minutes of drinking the bottle.

I experienced a nice lift in my alertness and attention level. It wasn't a jittery lift and there was no crash. The effects lasted most of the afternoon.

With nootropics, some of the benefits are more noticeable over time because it takes several days for some of the ingredients to reach saturation. I imagine the same is true with Neu. Its full effects would be noticed after consuming at least one a day for at least a week straight.

Overall, Neu is a product that breathes some new life into the struggling energy shot product category.

It offers consumers something different, which is a shot more scientifically formulated to enhance brain function instead of traditional shots that just use the typical energy ingredients.
