Power Energy Toothpaste
Power Energy Toothpaste is a caffeinated toothpaste that is to be used like regular toothpaste for brushing one's teeth.
However, unlike most other toothpaste, Power Toothpaste doesn't contain fluoride.
The makers of this product state that their toothpaste contains 67.4 mg of caffeine per milliliter of toothpaste, which is the recommended amount to brush with. However, since toothpaste isn't meant to be swallowed, not all of this caffeine with reach the bloodstream.
Caffeine can be absorbed through the lining of the mouth and gums so we estimate that after a minute of brushing, about 30-50 mg will have been absorbed. Brushing longer will allow for more absorption. (This is based on our experience using the product and the "caffeine effect" in generated as described below.)

I was excited to try Power Toothpaste because nothing like this has ever before landed on our desks here at Caffeine Informer. Here's what I discovered.
Taste
Power Energy Toothpaste has a strong peppermint flavor with just a tiny bit of caffeine's bitterness detectable. This toothpaste doesn't taste as sweet as most other toothpaste but is enjoyable to brush with.
Ingredients and Effect
As mentioned above, this toothpaste doesn't contain fluoride, but natural ingredients like silica, calcium carbonate, and castor oil as well as the caffeine. There has been some research linking caffeine to cavity prevention and better oral health. Both studies used coffee as the caffeine substrate so other factors could be involved, but this study showed protection against cavities and this study showed protection against gum disease.
I tried to estimate 1 ml (which is hard for us Americans) of Power Toothpaste to the best of my ability and began brushing as I normally do. I didn't experience a huge caffeine rush with Power Toothpaste, but I did notice a gentle lift. I would compare it to a cup of black tea in its effect on me personally.
I couldn't see Power Energy Toothpaste replacing anyone's cup of coffee, but it could be a nice way to get a subtle lift as soon as you wake up and allow a person to save their first coffee for a little later.
I also wouldn't recommend this toothpaste as part of your before bedtime brushing as it will NOT help you get to sleep.
Power toothpaste is recommended for healthy adults only and shouldn't be swallowed.
