Drank Extreme Relaxation Beverage Review

drank relaxation drinkDrank Extreme Relaxation Beverage is a drink that is supposed to help you unwind instead of hype up.

Superman has Lex Luther, Batman has The Joker, and now the energy drink has it’s own nemesis, Drank, the anti-energy drink?

Drank is being marketed as a drink that calms you down instead of energizing you up and was first launched in Houston, Texas.

Drank Ingredients

Drank is a carbonated, grape-flavored drink with added relaxation causing ingredients such as melatonin, valerian root, and rose hips.

It also has an assortment of B Vitamins, which have in the past always been associated with increased energy, although more long-term than short-term.

All Ingredients:

Water, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, citric acid, natural flavor, sodium citrate, potassium benzoate, potassium sorbate, niacinamide (vitamin B3), d-calcium pantothenate (vitamin B5), valerian root extract, rose hips extract, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), red #40, melatonin, blue #1, cyanocobalamin (vitaminB12).

Would Drank Counteract the Effects of an Energy Drink?

No, there is nothing in Drank Relaxation Drink that will help metabolize the caffeine in your system from the energy drink you drank a few hours ago. The only herb that’s shown to do this the herb Evodea.

You may feel more relaxed but your sleep could still be short and shallow with a lot of caffeine in your system.

Also, I wouldn’t advise taking melatonin at non bed time periods of the day as it’s involved with your natural sleep cycle.

The Drank website didn’t seem to be working, but according to the article in The Village Voice, Drank’s publicist, when asked if it worked, stated that yes it did and she heard that it mixes well with vodka. Since alcohol is a depressant, it would amplify Drank’s effects.

The target market for Drank seems to be geared toward the hip hop community and I have found it mentioned on several such blogs.

Drank is available online, in the Southern US, and will soon hit the shelves in New York.
