ZUN Lite Energy Drink

A short while ago we reviewed ZUN Energy, the drink that came in a rocket-ship style bottle.

That drink was well received as great tasting with a mild energy boost and decent ingredient profile.

ZUN has sent over some samples of their unique low calorie version for review. So how does ZUN Lite fare?

Taste

Upon seeing that the flavor was listed as Blue Agave, I thought it would taste like a Full Throttle Blue Demon drink. I was surprised after taking the first drink of ZUN Lite. The taste is very unique. There were notes of honey and apple, lightly carbonated, and not too sweet.

I found myself not able to compare the whole experience with anything I had yet tasted. There is a citrusy-sweet undertone to the drink. One of the main ingredients is Blue Agave Nectar, so the drink is probably an accurate representation of Agave. Overall ZUN Lite tastes great.

ZUN Lite Ingredients

Zun Lite Energy Drink has 20 calories and 4 grams of sugar, and comes with 110 mg of Caffeine, and a blend of Coenzyme Q10, Choline, Taurine, Vitamin E, and Vitamins B6 and 12.

Effect

I drank this before a long lecture. I was pretty tired heading into class, and knew it would be difficult to stay awake without an edge. ZUN Lite perked me up, and allowed me to focus without being jittery. There was not a “buzz” to speak of, just extra energy and the disappearance of sleepiness. I was able to finish my late class and still get a good night’s sleep, which seems to be the purpose of Zun, as the bottle says “rid your brain of cloud.”

ZUN Lite Energy Drink Verdict

This drink was great for its purpose. It allowed me to focus without giving over the top energy or jitters. It also has a drink that is quite unique. Zun Lite chose to depart from the typical energy drink taste and style and invent it’s own. I enjoyed my Zun Lite Energy Drink, check it out if you find it in your area.
