Monster Maxx is the latest rebranding of the original Monster Nitrous line.

This energy drink comes in 3 flavors:

Super Dry
Solaris
Eclipse

These drinks have a higher concentration of caffeine than standard Monster.

There was a bit of controversy surrounding their use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) in a beverage, which is against food laws. Perhaps this is the reason for the rebranding.

The label states the product contains "nitrogenated water", which isn't new to the beverage industry, but usually done with nitrogen gas, not nitrous oxide.

I Tried Maxx Super Dry

Monster Maxx Super Dry is a citrus flavored beverage and pretty sweet to the taste.

The nitrogenated water makes it fizzier than regular Monster, but overall it is very easy to drink.

The ingredients have also changed from the original Nitrous version. Now we see, salt, whey protein isolate, and yerba mate making the list.

Monster Maxx's sweetness is enhanced with the artificial sweetener Sucralose.

Expect the same energy rush as a regular Monster, but it will hit you faster since there is less liquid to drink.
