Sudden Instant Coffee
Sudden Coffee is instant single origin coffee.
This means that it is made from only one variety of coffee bean instead of a blend of beans which is how most coffee is roasted and brewed.
It's available in a light roast and a medium roast variety.
The company sent us some samples of both roasts for review.
Sudden Coffee Review
Sudden coffee is different from any other instant coffee I've tried.
Medium roasted Cristalina (single origin Columbian): It has a pretty smooth flavor and in a lot of ways it reminds me of how cold brew coffee tastes. It's enjoyable to drink and doesn't taste like typical instant coffee.
Light roasted Rayos Del Sol (single origin Peruvian): This variety is citrusy and very smooth. I tried this one as an iced coffee as well and it made for a refreshing cold pick-me-up.
The only negative aspect that I find with Sudden Coffee is the price. It is cheaper in bulk but some of the options available equate to about $3.50 per cup. While this may be cheaper for those that typically buy single origin pour over in coffee shops, it will seem expensive to the typical instant coffee consumer.
Sudden Coffee does offer a free trial for those that want to give it a try before they buy.
