Zombie Blood: Energy Potion Review

The re-animated, drooling hoard of the undead approach looking for brains, or the new product, Zombie Blood, made by Harcos Laboratories (famous for the Blood Energy Potion).

I must admit, I have been enamored by zombie movies ever since I saw Night of the Living Dead on late-night TV. So, when I was given the opportunity to review Zombie Blood Energy Potion, I was excited. Let’s dive right in.

Taste

The taste of Zombie Blood is a lime punch flavor. It has a slightly metallic taste to it, but overall it’s pretty decent for an uncarbonated drink. Interestingly enough, the company refers to it as “lifeless lime” flavor, but I think they could have done better with the name. My suggestion: Living-Dead Lime.

Ingredients

The Zombie Blood Bag is quite unique in the ingredient department, featuring protein, iron, electrolytes, glucuronolactone, and an enzyme blend (similar to 5 Hour Energy Shot). The pack has 45 calories, and supplies 80 mg of caffeine. The best part: no actual zombie mutagens.

Effect

I drank the Zombie Blood shortly before hitting the gym, and I was disappointed by the effect. I felt a slight pick up, but it did not last. I found myself digging deeper for energy than I usually do when I drink an energy drink before working out.

Verdict

I would not suggest picking up Zombie Blood if you are seeking a huge buzz. However, if you are like me and you dig zombie culture, I’m sure you’ll try it anyway. The pack is a lot of fun, and Zombie Blood Energy Potion would go great with a Romero movie marathon.
